The challenge
A studio floor at 6am is either forgiving or it isn't.
Hard floors return force. Joints absorb what the surface refuses. Every material decision in a studio either supports the practice or taxes it. Cork supports it.
Material story
A surface with provenance.
Every Natrul floor starts with cork harvested from Portuguese oak forests. The bark is stripped without felling the tree, and grows back fully within nine years. The material is genuinely renewable.
Granorte manufacture in Portugal, where the raw material and the production process remain on the same soil. That proximity matters.
The floor is made from bark. Nothing is cut down.
The material
Grown once. Harvested forever.
Cork is a natural cellular structure, not a composite approximation of one. Millions of air-filled cells give it acoustic absorption, thermal retention, and cushioned response under load.
Certified GREENGUARD Gold for very low emissions. It does not harbour bacteria. It is the material a wellness environment should be built on.
The specification difference
Thirty years. Hundreds of projects.
Steven Myers has specified and installed cork floors across health, movement, and wellness spaces for three decades. When you contact Natrul, you reach the person who knows the product and the context.
Direct access. The person who answers knows the product, the trade, and your project.
